Penlee Battery CWT Reserve (SX4349); Leon Truscott; Field record
Tebenna micalis Rare migrant A single on 2nd Sept was the last in a series commencing on 27th July at Penlee Reserve and subsequently found at 17 mostly coastal sites in the southeast of the county by John Nicholls and Leon Truscott. Quantities of between 1 and 15 were noted, with the larger numbers at Penlee Reserve and Seaton Valley (SX3055). It would appear that, apart from 2 records in West Devon by Tom Sleep, only The Lizard has provided similar sightings, with a similar series of records from Frank Johns and others. |
